Just got an email from my proxy service provider inviting me to pay a yearly subscription instead of my current monthly one...
And part of his argument on the benefits of doing so is that yearly subscription from us gives him more capital to pay for more ipv4 blocks.
I read about the benefits of using IP proxies from IPV4 r better than IPV6...
Here's an excerpt from my proxy provider, just sharing (i removed their name to avoid it reading like an advertisement)
Owning IPv4 blocks is costly though -- 1 single IP address these days goes for $10-$25! That means, to buy a /24 (256 IP addresses) we have to fork out a lot of money for a trivial amount of IPs. This is where I would like to propose a benefit for both parties involved:
- By paying a YEARLY proxy option, this gives us the capital to fund more IPv4 block purchases. The YEARLY rate will be discounted slightly versus monthly, but the main benefit will be touched on below. This YEARLY option is non-refundable and is meant to help both parties (we get capital to fund new blocks, and you get a discounted rate and the below benefits)
Benefits of our own IPv4 blocks:
- Full control, if required: You can rent the FULL /24 C block from us. This is advantageous because most banning on websites occurs on a C block level (after individual IPs). By knowing you are the only person on a C block, you can be certain to control the quality of traffic you are sending to the sites you are connecting to. If some of your IPs get banned, you now will know that you need to adjust your scripts/usage to not get any further IPs banned.
Do the above make sense? Does using only IPs from the same ipv4 block make our accounts less flaggy?
