I've always been hesitant to use a remote machine to handle task. Because i'm always bogged down to slow latency to the server location. Being in asia, i get slow connection speed to places in US or EU. Asia's server isn't exactly cheap either.
What i've found out, is not just about the latency, but the way the remote PC updates me the data. If you take out a notepad on the remote PC, and start typing, you will feel that, hey, it's actually pretty responsive (despite me having 300ms latency).
But when you go into the dashboard of MP and start scrolling the list, or visit any other area, you can see that it takes a long time for the image to fully load. Scrolling the list will make the experience horrible, as though it was an old rundown laptop.
I've tried a few things, ranging from teamviewer (it just won't work without connecting to RDP), and anydesk (which also shows a blank screen).
I've turned down all the settings like wallpaper, using bitmap caching, and even turned it into 256 colors. It actually doesn't make any difference. What i found out though, is something to do with how MP handles the colors. I used a very busy webpage and scroll the page, it's all fine, not jerky. But whatever i did on MP, it feels like the PC went to Stonehenge.
Your input will be much appreciated.
