# Do all engagement metric hold same value for the algorithm?

There are few professionals in the sphere who say a like, a comment, a save, a share… all are same for the algorithm. They generally say this while opposing the statement ‘saves are more valuable than likes’

of course there are differences between saving a post and liking it and commenting on it when you save a post that means you loved it so much that you want to see it whenever you like and show it to other users even strangers that meet on the occasion and laugh about that, like and comment are the same each engagement has it’s own value and IG know/value that.
