# New feature enabling users to block new accounts determined to have been made by the same user

The image is in Russian but a direct translation of the top option’s text states “block @xyz and any new accounts from this user”

Not sure how they intend to do so but others are speculating they’ll be using MAC addresses to draw associations between accounts.

Any thoughts?

well, we have been waiting for that change sooner or later, yes it’s most likely MAC addresses but tests are what is needed, I will be doing some and see how it goes.

no, not yet, things are fine on my side at the moment 😁

I’m not sure if that’s the case in all countries, do you have that update on your side Idamien?
