Hi! I’ve been using automations on pinterest to drive traffic to my website, but while Pinterest Analytics says I have **48 outbound clicks in the last 30 days,** Google \*\*Analytics Universal only shows 1 click (\*\*and it doesnt even come from my pinterest boards).

Has anyone experienced this? Could it possibly be that I’m using UTMs on every pinterest link? (I don’t see traffic coming from those UTMs neither).

Thank you! 🙂

UTM parameters normally label a visit; they do not stop Google Analytics Universal from recording it. Pinterest Analytics counts an outbound click when someone leaves Pinterest, but that does not guarantee the destination page loaded or sent an Analytics hit. To isolate the gap, open the exact tagged destination URL from a Pinterest pin and check two things: does the landing page finish loading, and does it send a Universal Analytics hit to the property you’re viewing? If it loads without a hit, check tracking on that page. If it fails to load, the loss happens earlier.
