Can you think outside the box?

I am looking for a new adventure/journey as I mentioned here:

http://mpsocial.com/t/journey-ideas-wanted/4556?source_topic_id=4843

I took a look at all my accounts, and saw that my photography accounts are growing fastest and having an amazing engagement!

I am looking at chances of monetizing that niche with a website/shop. I am so bad in thinking out of the box.

Can you??

Idea:
Expanding the number of photography accounts in different niches (like travel, portrait, animals, etc ,etc) on Instagram. Expand to all other social media channels that MP can handle.

Monetizing ideas that I can think of is to make a website in photography niche with:

  • review of products with affiliate links
  • Selling T-shirts with prints
  • Selling posters with prints
  • Selling online courses
  • Your ideas

As you can see, standard ideas.

Can you think outside the box?
Ideas are welcome!

Hmmm… Selling animals is definitely out of the box thinking.

How about slipping in a nude woman every third or fourth image and pushing people through to youporn.com

It’s outside the box. And would make the images of nature even more interesting and authentic.

In all seriousness, there are shitloads of amateur photographers out there who want to do it fulltime… who wouldn’t, right?

So… I think you need to start with that psychology… how can you help all of these shitloads of people sitting behind desks in office cubicles escape and become fulltime photographers.

There’s buttloads of courses to become a better photographer, but very few that teach you how to become a photographer who isn’t starving.

Suggested course titles:

Ditch Your Crappy Day Job and Become a Fulltime Photographer Earning Six Figures

Course outline:

1. Six figures from freelance photography. Is it really possible?
(the answer very well might be no, but you’re going to tell them it is by interviewing 10 (moderately) successful photographers you find on youtube)
2. Here’s why you shouldn’t buy an expensive camera on your journey to six figures
(counterintuitive… you’ll explain that you don’t need an expensive camera to make money. After all, shitloads of people who make nothing from photography have amazing gear. _
3. Why you need to be on Instagram right now and how to grow your account faster than your competition
(why isntagram is fast growing and how they can sign up for a MP subscription to grow multiple accounts fast!!!)
4. 18 Insanely Easy ways to make money as a freelance photographer that virtually no one taps
(I’m sure there’s some blog posts about this kinda shit that you can rip)
5. Yaddah, yaddah, yaddah

I reckon you could create this course in a couple of weeks. Send people through from your instagram profiles to a simple landing page. Make it cheap enough (around $40) and you could earn some decent money. Best part, it’s all evergreen content… so you can simply update it over time and keep the money coming in.

The key (in my opinion) is to help people:

  1. Get the fuck out of their crappy jobs
  2. Earn money doing something they love (that they’d actually do for free)

And the best way to convince them of paying you money…

Give them as much counter-intuitive info as possible (so they have aha moments… “I never would have thought I could make $2000 a week using just my iphone”). Even if they can’t, there’s someone out there who does… and you just need to plant the seed for them.

Good luck
