How To Grow Your IG Account Fast Using Hashtags

Can confirm that. Been testing different hashtags tactics lately and seems like it’s not working as good as it was before.
On the other hand, they are introducing (or introduced already?) the feature, where you can follow specific hashtags, so it can revive it.

In my experience, the best way to get them on the top is by boosting the latest posts (with like exchange groups etc.). Two similar posts of mine were posted at the same time on different accounts. They usually get ~50 likes. I boosted one account’s post with 150 likes from exchange group and by the end of the day, the difference in likes was ~230 (minus 150 likes from exchange group and we still have a difference in 80 likes). MP’s new Like Exchange tool helps here a lot.

How long do your accounts usually take to get the full amount of likes on a picture? Mine takes like 3-4 days but i think its also because im using f/uf and not only because of Hashtags. Some people see me following them, and then they return a favor by liking.

Anyone able to attest to whether or not this strategy still works?

In my opinion hashtags don’t work at all anymore. Barely get impressions from hashtags anymore. Anyone else confirm this?

Is there an updated guide after all the hashtag updates?
@BrandonBerner could me indicate something more fresh?
Thank youuu

Yeah, for me they also don’t work anymore and i did put some time into reasearching the right ones.

Hashtags dont work anymore @markbeats unless you have 50k followers.

Ok so there are some other methods to grow apart from Follow unfollow?

Wait what? Can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic or not. If I have a page at 12k followers w/ 10% engagement, it’s just a waste of time to put hashtags?

I’m being dead serious, I think it wouldn’t be bad to use them but it’s not necessarily beneficial. Anything significant at least

One of my accounts was shadow banned from posting captions for 2 weeks for all posts. The account regularly gets 8-12k likes, but during the 2 weeks likes dropped dramatically by 50%. One could argue without the engaging caption your reach would be lower, but I doubt its 50% lower. This account was only around 25k followers at the time. My theory is friends of engaged followers will see your content show up in the top9. 1000 engaged followers with 1000 friends gives the potential of 1 million impressions. Friends tend to like similar content, so you would definitely notice an up tick.

I’ve only had this happen once, but I’m definitely not going to stop posting hashtags on lower end accounts, even if it’s a theory.

They work for one of my clients on some of his posts.

If they go viral from hashtags it pushes them on to the explore page and it takes off from there.

But the effect of it isn’t as great as it was previously.

consider them fortunate. from what I seen, hashtags don’t do shit. they never push anything to exlpore. EG of the account itself, saves comments and like do. Say I have 2 pages, both post the same pictures. One has a .5 percent higher eg than 2nd, both same numbers of followers…same all. Even if lesser EG account uses hashtags, it won’t help any. the higher eg account will out do it in all areas. Also, keep in mind the vast majority of accounts make explore - lower ranking accounts get pushed to the bottom of the scroll. Content alone makes or breaks…

That’s true. What I’m saying is that in the insights tab I’ve seen that some posts that go viral on hashtags will then get more exposure on explore.

An example of this (the client is automotive) was a comparison image used on a hashtag of a new car. While the hashtag was full of pictures of the new car, they had the only comparison image, which did well in the hashtag and subsequently the explore page.

Nice information! :ok_hand:t4:

Please refrain from re-viving year old topics, unless you have something of value to add to them.

Is this some sort of rule in the forums?
All I did was reply to the head of the discussion that it was good info.

Rule, no.

Good practices, yes.
