Question on shoutouts, does it really work at scale? I personally know some big influencers and celebs. They have organically shouted out my pages and friends pages and the growth is nothing. I’m talking about a 10 million person page. "“Go follow X.”
I might be missing something and I’m not claiming to know anything about shoutouts.
Not sure but i think some incentive needs to be added to it to work at scale. Follow x and i’ll follow one of you (celeb follows noobie or so)
I’m sure. I’ve literally had a celeb say to follow me and got a few follows lol.
Also, how does it even work for a small business.
I don’t think anything is every going to replace an engagement for an engagement.
This is a verified celeb mate. In the past I had a Jenner tag us and it wasn’t crazy. I don’t see big jumps in follows.
I’m not questioning what you guys are doing. I’m super curious how it works.

I can see your point on that. It’s almost how I could probably use my 20K personal account I grew by hustle and tell them to follow someone. My tribe will listen, for the most part.

So you guys are building a network accounts in a lot of niches that have a real, engaged tribe? And when they post, or ‘shout’ someone out, their followers listen?

I think there is definitely a thought to be had about the search function and how it affects things for following.
In terms of the shoutouts, what size of a network do you currently have in each niche? Is it better to have 20 pages with 50K followers than one with 1M? (In terms of results at least.) That’s what I’m thinking.
Yeah, having followers that don’t listen is pretty worthless.
Update:
Stopped all tests at the moment. It’s the holiday season here and I’m taking some time off to be with my family.
Will go full throttle again by January 2.

Wouldn’t you say Instagram is dead? Not trying to demoralize, just want an honest opinion on if energy shouldn’t be spent somewhere else would be a smarter choice…
while the size of the page is important, that IS NOT THE REASON for the success or failure of a shout. Its the shout itself. Have you folks forgotten its a selling tool? It must be designed and tested just as a ad. A piss poor content will get you piss poor results and vice versa. ugg. go back to the basics… content content content
Edit. Some shouts I did for one page produced thousands in a few days others just a few – vids and single posts vs albums must be mixed and tested. When you have one shout that works effectively, use the hell out of it on many sources/accounts

If they had good filtering options and it scraped users correctly it would be very effective but unfortunaly I only get 10%FBR

I am just using the hashtag and user target so it suits me now. but it definitely needs improvement.
