Be careful, few weeks ago I removed my personal phone number on my personal account, very soon after that it got disabled
Hopefuly it won’t happen
Thank you.
Got it. If I create 8 accounts with one number a month, can’t I verify accounts when a PV arises as I already done 8 verification this month? @mtvtshirts.com
I do not know what happened on this forum? I’ve been away for half a year, and suddenly things changed. The advice was always; 1 account = 1 phone number. Use 1 phone number for 2 accounts and you will get problems if IG disables one of these accounts.
There is a reason why you do not want to use services like smspva and others. You get the same phone number for a verification as others. Their spam accounts will bring your account down because they are all connected by that same phone number.
So those services are using the same number for multiple different accounts?
I do not want to accuse a specific service. No names. But from what I know… Yes… So the number you get will also be used by others for the same service.
They also rotate sim cards. So the same card can be used next month again.
And the same problems you can get when you use your own sim card for several accounts. PV’s are always a bad thing. I have my private IG account already for 8 years, and I never had a PV. PV’s are not normal, if you get a PV it means that IG believes that something is wrong with your account. Solving 8 PV’s in a month with 1 phone number is asking for trouble.
Why Instagram is allowing it then? Why they have fixed 2 PVs per week? not 1 PV per month…
I think that there is a reason behind…
I do know you can blacklist the number from being used for that service or “api” again.
Today one of my pages got disabled.
Till not so long ago (half a year) you couldn’t use a phone number for months after using it once for a PV. I remember very well… Using a phone number for a second time on a spam account was automatically a ban.
I guess we don’t have the same opinion. If the number is a real number built on real SIM card you can do 2 PVs weekly without any block. I speak of 3 years of experience of doing this.
The block appear because those services (no names) that are offering Phone Verification are using Virtual Phone numbers** that are easily detectable by anyone. There are APIs for detecting Virtual Phone Numbers that you can use even on your own website… Sure Instagram is able to detect them easily
After using those Virtual Numbers for your account Phone Verification, your account will get more Phone Verifications and disabled at the end! A lot of people using those well known services will tell you that a phone verification with those services will trigger more Phone Verifications in the future… This help them get more money as they get paid for each Phone Verification…
Moreover how can they offer Phone Numbers of many countries in the world! I doubt that they have real physical SIM cards in each country. Even if you can still use, freely, an european country SIM in another different european country, you can’t do the same for non european countries SIM cards: You can’t use a SIM card of Keniya or Colombia in a European country for less than 0.15$ the SMS…
**So, what even IS an anonymous VOIP number? It is essentially a virtual number that is created using a service such as Burner or Virtual Phone. There are some practical reasons to set-up a virtual number, such as cheap long-distance phone calls. However, many people use them for far more nefarious reasons such as prank calls, ticket scams and creating fraudulent accounts.
So guys, bottom line … should we use PVA services or should we use Real SIM card to verify our IG accounts?
Obviously Real Sim Cards! But in my country I can’t buy more than a dozen sim cards myself! How can I grow 100+ even 250+ accounts then???
do you know how to fix the issue after its diasabled?
I had this issue - typed the correct phone code and was still not able to log in - its now saying the account is disabled- any idea how to solve this issue?
For people saying that you should remove the phone number from the account if its only a temp number… that’s actually the opposite of what you should do.
Removing the phone number doesn’t prevent them asking you to verify from that number. They still can and will revert back to a removed number. Removing it is kind of giving away that you’re trying to get away from it.
Hey, how to remove it?
I tried this: Hamberger menu > setting > security > two factor authentication.
Is this correct?
When I got on the ‘two factor authentication’ screen, I did not see my number added. Does that mean I am safe?
If you don’e have one under Edit Profile and no option to use Text Message under the Two-Factor Authentication settings, yes.
But safe is relative. IG might choose to still prompt a PV, even without you having linked a number. It’s better to have a number linked that you can access, as you otherwise will lose access to the account once it’s in this state (Asking for PV, but no number linked hence can not complete the PV)
Please beware that an account can be always recovered with the original phone number. If you don’t own that number (eg. you bought that account from someone) there is nothing you can do to prevent that.
How could I have missed this one…
I think you’re confusing different things.
The virtual numbers you talk about are different than the numbers you get from most sms verify services. These services usually use real sim cards, with real numbers. And there is no way that Instagram can see that you used that service. Other than that they try to use the numbers several times. But the numbers itself are clean.
Here is what happens if such a company gets busted: https://cpa.rip/news/buyaccs-obyski/ Thousands of modems, thousands of sim cards.
They do You can even join the club: http://smspva.com/device.html
Receiving SMS is always free. Doesn’t matter from which country the sim card comes from, and it doesn’t matter in which country you use the sim card.
And please please don’t try to prove that you are right by mentioning 3 years of experience. 3 years means that you just started.
Just wanna chime in on this. While I would put a small asterisk next to always (as I’m sure one shitty carrier out there finds a way to charge for that somehow), it’s virtually free
