After setting up an account in the US, can I use it in my country?

Hello there!

So I’ve read that it’s needed to use a sim card from your targeted country. I have a friend in the US and she wouldn’t mind to create an account and send me the credentials, so I can log in from my phone (Japan) and start posting content.

My questions:

  • Is this enough or will the country switch to Japan once I log in?
  • Does my friend have to keep my account on her phone, so it won’t switch target countries?
  • Can I post my content and it will be shown to US users?

Any help is much appreciated. Thank you!

If your japanese phone has a japanese SIM card, the content will be posted in Japan.
What matters is the SIM card at the exact moment you post a TikTok video.
I also post from Japan with a U.S. SIM card and I “kind of” target a U.S. audience but since content is in English it also targets other countries.

Alright, thank you very much! Guess I need to ask my friend to send me that Sim-Card in order to target the right audience.

Or just buy one on e-bay it’s really cheap like you get one for 10 dollars
