So I’ve read a few bits about alt text, or editing the Alt text, but I’m not sure if this helps the photo, or if there is any simple hack? Like hashtag stuffing which can be used.
Do any of you alter or play with the alt text on your posts?

Alt text has been proclaimed by various people to help Instagram categorise your photo but I’ve never noticed any chance in engagement. I don’t think it is a factor that affects a posts reach.

alt text it says more about your picture it helps the algo to recognize your photo so it will push it to the right people

Interesting fact, if you try loading an Instagram picture in the browser with extremely slow internet, before the picture loads you’ll see some grey text that’s Instagram recognizing that’s in the picture. Ie: cat next to tree
