My Story Views on my account are all over the place.
I notice when I post a new story before any old one’s have disappeared after 24 hours, I’m getting really low views.
But if I wait 24 hours and let my other story posts disappear before posting a new one, I get a huge amount of views. It also seems to work a lot of the time if I delete any old stories and wait about an hour before posting a new one.
When I post a new story before letting other one’s disappear, I’m getting around 300-800 views. The last time I let the other stories disappear and posted a new one I received 9,000 views.
I was just wondering if anyone else may be getting the same results and possibly why this is happening?
Yes that could happen if your followers are no going through all your stories, they see the first one and that’s all, hence when you post only one they see it correctly.
My story views are all over the place regardless of when I post. But usually if there is already a story up the following stories get less views. But even with first post stories one day I get 10k views and other days 2500k views. Can’t figure out why.
That’s happened to me but the difference in views was certainly not so drastic. Now that you’ve identified this pattern, maybe only post 1 story a day.
If I may ask, what kind of stories are you posting? When users see unengaging stories, they usually swipe to see the next account. Play around with your story content/format and see if the numbers for the second story improve.
You need to have engaging story content to get people’s attention and yes, don’t post too many stories as people will get bored. Have variety as much as possible
