(Beginner) My Plan to Grow The new Instagram account

Hi Guys,

I am new in this forum. Reading the topic here made me feels overwhelmed and i realize that i need time to digest this compact and valuable contents here.

My background:

  1. Have a personal travel account (about 11k followers ~ Organic) since 2017.
Monetize method: Brand deals, Exchange services/products with the suppliers, Shoutout.
Problems: I don’t feel comfortable doing monetizing frequently with my personal account, because it will given strong impressions to my followers that i just a walking adverts.

  2. Creating a curator account, with niches in Cats (100% to monetize).
Monetize plan: Selling a product/services related to cats (either dropship or private label), shoutout and paid promote to the brands.
Target market: Cats lovers, cats food shop, cats grooming salon, etc.
    Target Region: Asia.
Growth plan in the 1st 1 year: Giveaway, Contests, Automation, Create FB Page. (This is a phase of Building the account and Giving value); Prepare an online store for cats (Monetizing Preparation).

Problems: Start from zero again, need ti learn about automation from the scratch (which can be beneficial for future ~ if i plan to be an agency).

What do you think guys about this new account plan?
And how Jarvee can help the growth?

Thanks,

Don’t see the learning process as a problem, it is a pleasent experience. If there is one thing that made me progress in my life, that was the mindset to be prepared and excited for new challenges and learning opportunities.

Yes, it is harder now than ever to grow a profile, but it is still fairly doable. And you have the internet as your classroom, you just need to be persistant and read a lot. And I mean a lot. Visit all the threads that you can on this forum and don’t skip the ones with 1000s of posts within them - you can find valuable information there. If you fail, don’t stop. Everyone who is now successful failed at least a couple of times.

So, just sit down, relax and start enjoying the journey

A good advice is not to start with automation from the beginning. you must engage with you audience, post a good captions and good contents, the result will be there

love your spirit man and btw you’re not forced to go all in automatin and keep in mind that some old stuff are workin till now and on top of it its content and as you said giving value and entertaine your audience its one of greatest ways and they will love you for this n talk about you to their circle
just make plan and go for it and track whats good and whats not

agree with that. But as you know, sometimes the other side of human always require the speed in everything.

Thanks for the support! Some old stuff will stays gold if we execute well.
I feel the automation + real engagement can create a quick results.
But i dunno, since i am still begineer in the automation stuffs like Jarvee

With the new IG issues were really having problems growing new accounts. You will be much happier buying a cat niche account with 5K+ followers.

May i know the genuine marketplace for IG account?
I really worry about the scam…

Thank you so much

Hi, welcome to the forum!

I think the account plan sounds pretty good, though as others have already said it certainly isn’t as easy as it once was to grow accounts!

I’m not all that familiar with the travel niche (or running a ‘personal’ style account) but I do have experience running curated accounts on niches likes cats.

So, a couple of things relating to that style of account - depending on what sort of content you want to post you will have to be wary of companies that come in and buy the rights to people’s content. Viral videos (which do great in terms of engagement and growth) are targeted and ‘bought’ by such companies.

If you re-post such a video, even with the consent of the person who originally posted it, you may find a little while later that you get a copyright strike via Instagram from a company that has subsequently bought the rights to it. That will result in the content being taken down and if you get a few strikes your account can be shut down.

So, using viral video content in a niche like cats is great for the growth of your account, but beware of companies buying up the rights to such content and then actively policing it.

Just something to think about.

It is always awesome to listen directly from the experience curator especially in cat niche like you. I really get the insights given by you.

And how we can know the video is already copyrighted by others?
Is there any indication in the post itself?

Thanks for the advice

Updated 10 Sep 2019:

New Instagram Account (Niche: Cats):
Followers: 12
Following : 23
Hashtags : optimized
Avg Views: 8
Automation Software: No

Soon, i will try the shoutout services by some pages with 40k ~80k followers with good engangement rate.

Hopefully all will be fine…

No problem.

In terms of knowing whether the video is already copyrighted before you post it, that bit isn’t too bad - if you are approaching the original creator of the content (so probably the cat owner in this case!) then they should be able to tell you if you can use it and will know if they have sold the rights to anyone else.

However, what I found was that that could all be fine, and I’d post the video, then sometimes months later I would get a copyright strike on the video because a media company had bought the rights AFTER I posted the video.

Noted on that…
Thanks a lot for the heads up

Update 18 Sep 2019:

On 12 Sept 2019, Using shout outs services from:
Account A: 51.2k followers (Avg views: 10k; Avg comments: 50)
Account B: 55.6k followers (Avg Views: 22k; Avg comments: 75)

It helped boosting up my followers, but not as i what i expected.

My Account Summary per 18 Sep 2019:
Posts: 32 (Avg 3 posts per day~with hashtags optimized)
Followers: 114
Following : 26
Avg Views: 80
Avg Comments: 2

So what do you think i should do?
Automation?

How much did you pay for the shout outs and can you share where you got them from?

I paid for $15 for account A (Country: Indonesia) for 7 days hang in their feed & $8 for account B for 7 days hang in their feed.
I choose Indonesia because i know the players, i know the market and it is a good starting point to build the presence in the Asia (As my target region is Asia).

Where i get them from? RESEARCH manually, list all the big accounts in my niche, gather their followers, engagement %, Avg. views, Avg Likes, Avg Comments, etc.

And choose the top 2 or 3, then Approach them.

Hey, so did you simply send them a DM and they replied? Cause i assumed accounts with that many followers don’t really view their DMs?

You need to list out all the targeted shout-outs account and DM them one by one, asking for the Shout Out prices.
If they have KIK or Telegram, contact them directly.
Out of 10, 6 will reply you.

Good luck!
