I have a question and i am hoping someone has the answer to it. I want to keep statistics for the links i tweet and i figured the best way is to use goo.gl shortener analitycs. Do twitter mess up the statistics, because everytime i post a link in order for twitter to understand where it redirects it should visit it trough i guess, and my question is: Are the analytics correct or everytime i tweet a link it gets one additional impression from twitter? I believe that you are right and the crawlers mess the statistics, but that’s only from some observations of over time, have never done an accurate test to see if this is true or not so it might be wrong.
Have the same issue. Whenever I start twitter my uniques explode but the conversions stay low. So yes I am sure crawlers mess us enormously, compared to other social networks
