Comment Tagging? Super Fast Growth? Risky?

Good morning/afternoon everyone,

Lately I’ve been monitoring @babydiego and a few of his Instagram “friends”… I’ve noticed that they have all been growing their accounts extremely fast and I wonder if it is because of the tags in most of their pictures comments. If you look at their pictures comments and scroll down a bit, you will see that there are tons of users tagging 5-10 people at a time.

For their caption they always try to add “Tag 5 friends for a follow back” or “Tag 3 friends for a DM”, but I think it’s just a way to justify that they are using a bot that tags other users in comments. I just wanted to see others opinion on this topic. Also, was curious if anyone knew how to do this, if it is safe and if it is an effective way to grow your page…

That’s actually an interesting idea. But instead of offering “Tag 5 friends for a follow back” or “tag 3 friends for a DM”, I’d do “tag 10 friends to (maybe) be tagged on our next post” type of thing, then you’d save 4 tags for high value accts, and save one for whoever you pick from the comments. Some accts in my niche just tag a bunch of other accts in the niche on the photo, so it increases their chances to appear on other accts’ profiles. I’m particularly not a fan, as I didn’t see this convert at all for my accts.
