no, this is not really an issue. more important is the quality of your proxies than their location

The location of the proxy doesn’t matter at all for your task. Think about it, you can follow users around the world no matter where u are now right?

The proxy shouldn’t matter for growth. Although, I believe that IP location contributes (very little) to what IG feeds you for suggested content.
