Do push notifications work only if Instagram app is open on phone?
Lets say I turned post notifications on for someones IG account. Would I only get post notifs if my Instagram app is open?
With Android you always get them, even if the app is not opened, there’s always a background process to push them.

You get them also when the app is not opened and you’re not on Low Power or Battery Save mode as these cut down background activity!
