No, I dont think so. I tried several reels and story views did not change but the regular post views seriuosly lost reach/likes after posting reels for several days… I red in another post the same observation by @IGsocialize.
But of course if your reels get suddenly millions of views the story should change… but that did not work for me.

same here, I don’t think reels affected stories I still get the same amount of views on my accounts stories even after starting with the Reels, what happened exactly on your side?

It didn’t change for me either, that can probably happen if we’re talking about huge traffic on reels, then it would be a logical thing to see an engagement drop on stories
