Does disabling comments impact Video views?

My niche is trivia and Riddles. Usually my vids get a stupid crazy amount of comments of people guessing the answers, but people cheat off eachother and don’t watch the video in full to figure out the answers.

Would I benefit from disabling my comments so that people had to watch the video longer/repeat to figure out the answer for themselves? or does the VERY high amount of comments help the videos virality?

I’m sure the comments are helping. I think in any platform’s algorithm authentic comments are going to help.

I don’t think you need to disable them. Anyone that cares about a trivia video enough to comment on it is probably going to watch the full video first just to see if they can do it, for the challenge of it.
