Let’s talk about the basics of FB Marketing here.
I just started my FB page couple of months ago and it hasn’t been particularly active during this time.
The only thing I have done was to join as many groups as possible in my niche and share my page’s posts there. Can someone address the basics of FB marketing?
One tip for me, is to build your facebook account and make it look real as possible. Upload a profile picture, cover photo and fill out the basic details of that account.

Is there anything else that I can do to increase my visibility?
You can use multiple accounts and add users from your niche as friends, once they accept you can add them to your own group and keep promoting your stuff there or you can promote your stuff through chat as well.
