Facebook Reveals Millions of More Instagram Passwords Were Exposed

Facebook has now revealed millions of more Instagram users passwords were exposed.

Since this post was published, we discovered additional logs of Instagram passwords being stored in a readable format. We now estimate that this issue impacted millions of Instagram users. We will be notifying these users as we did the others. Our investigation has determined that these stored passwords were not internally abused or improperly accessed)

How convenient to update this when the Meuller report dropped. That should cover this up pretty well :slightly_smiling_face:

Although they do mention “To be clear, these passwords were never visible to anyone outside of Facebook and we have found no evidence to date that anyone internally abused or improperly accessed them.”

In the meantime they shut your account down if you repost something or delete the likes you give via third party app. :joy:

I wonder if anyone here got notified by fb that their password was leaked?

I wonder if anybody here is changing passwords because of this?

Received the message from IG app on my personal account a couple of days ago that my password had been stored in a readable format.
Password changed since
