Just came by this article. Thought it was an interesting read.https://www.engadget.com/2018/08/28/instagram-popular-account-authenticity/?yptr=yahoo
Thanks for sharing. Maybe we should prepare a bit for Duo Mobile I never heard of it before anyone knows what it is and how it will work?
Edit:
This article says more about it: https://techcrunch.com/2018/07/17/instagram-2-factor/
@DanielAdmin i hope its okay that i tag you im really interested in hearing your opinion on this
I don’t think Duo Mobile is meant to replace the normal PV’s. Duo Mobile is just another account security option alongside two-step verification. I don’t think anything will change here.
Also, the whole “about this account” thing means nothing for the average user, it only matters for public figures/verified users.
Well… hmmm… If you’re DMing an American audience wouldn’t it force me to use American proxies in order that the account seems American? Just a thought
I don’t think most people would bother to check… the proxy location is only important if you are trying to scam people.
I mean, not everyone who is American lives in the USA though. I get what you’re saying though.
Yeah Fb/Insta have really been trying to step up their game to expose bots and “fake news”. Facebook recently also talked about how they were rating their users to find out how reliable they were:
Considering that rating users was literally the original reason for the creation of the social network in the first place, it seems like they’ve come full circle at this point.
@kraadnc Mate I thought I link you. Be prepared and I hope you find a solution if this should come. Maybe hundreds of thousands of phones?
