i think most of us here take care of growth through automation but i was wondering if some of you can discuss that since most agency owners i know never use this model while on youtube or tiktok it’s literally what every agency do with the content creators , so what do you think is it a legitmate way to do it if you see big potential of growth in this influencers and what is the best way to go for it and make it professional should they sign a contract?
Getting paid through comission % (sharing their % of revenue) instead of upfront payments is a complexe work, as you need to :
- Make sure they’re monetizing their business.
- Be able to grow their social media without being funded.
- Write a contract for each clients.
- Protect yourself : make sure you’re able to deliver a service the way they want, as there is a risk of not getting paid afterwards / campaign stopped in the middle.
To be honest, once you start having a certain amount of clients, doing this is way too complexe and will waste your time. Upfront payments is the way to go, in my opinion…
However, for some niches you can do both, but that’s not the majority Upfront + revenue %
Facts.
Not to mention - 80% of influencers dont even have a business. So your contracts are in most cases actually useless…
yeah i mean more like young influencers who can’t afford to buy it , but can with decent content strategy and growth with different methods (automation, shoutouts, collabs, reels videos…) become pretty big in their niche
just like onlyfans model contracts , or youtube content creators …i do agree however that it’s not the best model to do to make money as you said i have to make sure i make money with them wich is why with youtubers its so common since they just monetize the videos , but as a long term investment its way more lucrative than small upfront payments
