I want to hire an employee to manage my jarvee slaves but am having trouble coming up with a solution. I basically want someone to fix the blocks I get. So if I hire a person full time, they may be wasting a lot of their time and my money if there are no blocks that day. Is there a way to hire people on demand? Should I hire someone and then let them sit around some days doing nothing if there are no issues? All ideas are appreciated!
Then someone did their job correctly. How do you fix your blocks?
Besides that:
Do you work every second while on the job? You pay people to be available once they are needed.
I ran so many night-shifts in my life where nothing happened, and still, my employer never came up with the topic of Do I need to pay you if nothing happens? simply because if something happens, it would cost way more to have nobody respond in time.
If you want to cheap out, pay them per action done. How that will work out solely depends on your management skills and the employee you pick. If you can’t trust your employees, better do it yourself I guess.
As @schoko said, just pay someone per action done but I don’t think you can get someone to do that unless you train a user in doing so. If you’re managing a lot of accounts, it’s a wise decision to outsource but if you can handle them on your own, it is best to do it all by yourself.
I just hired someone to work for me part time and I was dealing with the same issue! He is mainly doing manual PVs for me, but I was concerned about not needing him sometimes when there aren’t any PV waves. So what I did was basically guarantee him one set amount of guarantees hours of work every week, and then if I need him an extra few hours, he was cool with that!
and how were you able to calculate that amount of needed hours? did you make an estimation of PV’s that you get?
The problem is that you cannot expect someone to be ready to start working for you every day, without getting paid. They will starve to death.
You can think about additional work for them. Maybe they can also create accounts, collect content for accounts. That way they have always something to do, even when there is no PV wave. Maybe they can also help with the marketing of your own services, collecting data, emails of potential clients etc.
In that case u should hire him at a lower salary than u r planning to give. pre offer him leaves and say if u work on holiday u will get extra by this way u are paying him for less days if workload exceeds u can ask him to work.
hope this will work.
Thank you all for the great ideas!
My suggestion would be similar to what @dimitri said. The person could do other tasks for which you need help and then when there any kind of blocks, that should be a top priority.
If you just need them occasionally, they will have other jobs as well, and you will not be the priority, so probably it would be hard to rely on that person.
First 3 sentences - spot on
Hiring on-demand is quite risky about such sensible information. If this is a client management gig, you need to be aware that they can take over the accounts and then blackmail you or your customers.
The easier solution would probably to scale up the number of customers you have - while putting in the time yourself - until you can afford someone full-time.
And never forget, if you are financially not able to hire someone to does what you are doing, you underselling whatever you are offering or participate in a niche that is not worth participating in.
Thanks for the response, but I would just want them to monitor Jarvee and I can make them type in passwords to access the settings, so I don’t see how they could access any sensitive info.
If someone really wants to target you, they can work around that. But they would need to be really tech-savvy. Not to make you paranoid but there is a workaround for everything is someone wants to. Just keep that in mind
Extremely right, you can get blackmailed by people.
But in my case, all of my workers are really honest and I appreciate them a lot, accounts which are big like 20k-300k are managed by me as I don’t want to take risks about it as of now.
