How can I convert my Hashtag Reach into more followers?

Hey there! I have a question that I can’t solve and would love to hear some ideas :slight_smile:

This is about a travel/nature repost page currently at around 8000 followers. I manage to get a huge range with my hashtags on killer content, but my reach doesn’t really translate into follows :confused:

I always use call to action such as “What does this remind you of”, “Send this to someone you would like to be here with” or “follow me if would want to visit this some day”. Am I being crazy or is 100 profile visits / 50 follows waaaay to low for 200k reach :smiley:

Would love to hear some feedback to improve this!

That is really really low for that amount of reach…what are you sharing? Are you using engagement groups or buying likes? Insta can pick up on those things now really easily so its best not to use them.

I’m reposting travel content. Yeah I know it is low. That is why I’m asking haha :joy:

But if instagram wouldn’t like my account they wouldn’t show my content to 200k people (remember I have only 8k followers)

Also I’m not using any service or engagement groups. I can link my account here if it helps but I’m not sure if it is allowed

With 8k followers and 12k likes it definetly looks like you are using Bots or an automation service. It happened on a few of my accounts as well and once I stopped I saw a huge drop in reach, but actually got a lot more genuine views and follows

I’m not using any bots. I’m using a really good set of hashtags. Insights also shows that basically all impressions come from hashtags

Can you DM me your instagram name so I can take a look? I can compare it to what was happening on my page and see if I can draw a helpful comparison…Otherwise if you aren’t using Jarvee or anything else then I really don’t know

Why do you think that this is low? It’s actually quite decent, most people don’t gain any followers from hashtags

Don’t think there is any rule against posting your account. It’s more like a bad idea for people posting accounts they are botting or doing ther non organic growth method with. But it doesn’t sound like that applies to you.

So up to you, I can take a look and give some suggestions if I notice anything you should be doing but aren’t.

Is this situation on all of your posts or this is some specific case? Do you tag the original post creator on the post? Or just use some image with your own post text?

Mostly on posts that rank high on hashtags (like every 4th or so)

I’m not tagging the original artist in the picture but I credit them at the bottom of the description

I have one set of hashtags that I use. I once made it with one of these hashtags guides where you put like 10 small 10 medium and 10 big hashtags together

my personal experience, i got more followers from explore rank posts ,not hashtags,hashtags are full of bots, and bad score accounts, specialy in travel niche(?) one big fake network

Do you still use hashtags on your posts? Are you using engagement groups to hit the explore page?

Yes I use hashtags but I don’t use any engagement groups . I hit pretty consistently hit explore but only with like 2000 impressions

DM groups = big no-no , IG will detect your traffic from unknown sources like telegram and reduce your organic reach
hashtags= absolutely not
only explore page
Everyone has a different and suitable way to grow their accounts, since I dont upload once in a day, I dont use hashtags at all
