How many violations does it take to get banned?

I have no idea how their banning system works. I’ve seen a lot of people get permanently banned seemingly at random without doing anything seriously wrong, so I’m wondering if this has something to do with accumulated community violations?

Also, is there a difference between getting audio muted vs taking the video down entirely? Is one better or worse than the other?

yeah, that’s probably worse (video down), when you get the audio down there is probably some copyrighted stuff there, but in both cases, you shouldn’t keep having those removals they might lead to serious blocks.
