A link in Bio is not causing api calls, that’s not in relation to how many actions can be done. It’s just an issue when it’s something which Instagram isn’t allowing (spam/porn) which can get your account banned. Then it’s 0 actions.
you do have a point but when I used to run on a large scale having a link in your account IG watches them like vultures so it might be a myth but i feel like you can squeeze out more actions out of this type of accounts
