Hey guys,
Are there any good methods to reverse engineer which big page accounts are shouting out specific accounts?
Hey guys,
Are there any good methods to reverse engineer which big page accounts are shouting out specific accounts?
AFAIK there are hardly methods:
If the “shoutouter” (S) has tagged the “shoutouted account” (SA), then you can see this, of course. But if they didnt tag it, there is hardly a way to see it.
One thing you could try is a simple google search e.g. “follow @therock”. Sometimes you get results, if you are lucky.
Other option is: sometimes people are using similar accounts to do shoutouts. Lets say you are George Clooney and your username is @handsome.george , there might be accounts like “handsome.george_fanpage” or “george.clooney.fanpage” or “handsome.george123” which might be shoutouters…
A more time-consuming approach:
you scrape a list of the newest followers of (SA) and then you scrape the list of followings of these followers. Then match the lists and look, if all of them follow one account. If so, have a look at it, this could be the “shoutouter”
Good luck for whatevery you are trying to do
