Something happened on Thursday 5/31. 35 accounts 6 had these level of drops
On Thursday Instagram did an API update which broke things for a lot of people. I’m not talking individuals like you or I but your average user as well. There are still reports from people on twitter and down detector suggesting there are still issues for a number of people.
One of the biggest issues Thursday and reports since then are people not having their feeds update with new postings as recently as Sunday morning. This coupled with others getting follow/likes blocks as well despite being standard users.
The feed update issues and just general fatigue of it not working right now is probably the primary culprit for your numbers.
Ah, so that might be why I’ve been seeing some stale posts in my feed. Hopefully someone at Insta realizes metrics are down and fixes this tomorrow.
