All of my main accounts “almost” got hacked but thanks to 2Step verification they’re still mine. Also few accounts from other social networks almost got jaked.
Alright, happens every day, what’s the big deal?
Well the thing is I have very strict security, I log into only one phone and one laptop, nothing on them which can compromise me. I take good care of all accounts and never had an issue in my life.
All the accounts that almost got stolen were logged in the same automation software. Now I don’t want to accuse anyone of anything YET, just want to check did anyone else experience anything similar. You cancel a service and then few weeks/months later this happens?
I got 50+ emails on unauthorized login from
Windows · Chrome · Buffalo, NY, US (probably proxy, doesn’t matter).
It’s not Jarvee. DM me if you have a similar story, let’s not jump into conclusions.
Hello @lifeofpablo I’m sorry to hear about your experience as this is an unfortunate situation. I would have to agree though that yes, these things happen everyday on a platform so large (There’s bad people) but in this community I would say it’s not very common that tons of accounts get almost hacked & even other social platforms at an instantaneous time
I think you should elaborate alittle so that we can be advised & also further understand. Were you using a cracked version of a software? Trusted VPS and/or proxy provider?
Kindly fill in some of the missing details here so that we can understand fully
Sorry to hear this. Two step verification helps a lot. I haven’t faced anything similar but I do fear that this will happen to me one day so I never turn off two step verification.
My man, I was using paid service, you know, the type of a service you pay monthly, download their software and run it on your VPS or PC or whatever, I ran it on one laptop.
I cancelled their service after using them for one year, on 14th June 2020. Not even a month has passed, I’m getting this. I just wanted to see if there was someone else on this forum that experienced similar issue…
Sorry to hear you’ve had such bad experience. I haven’t gotten similar issue.
This seems like VPS IP. You ran the software only on your laptop, so it seems someone else has your accounts details. I don’t know how the software works. Are your data stored locally on your computer? Did you uninstall it after you cancelled the sub?
“My man, I was using paid service, you know, the type of a service you pay monthly, download their software and run it on your VPS or PC or whatever, I ran it on one laptop.”
Hello, I think everyone here understood this part my friend. There is just some missing details on what you shared for any of us to help you. If you ran software on your own laptop that cancels out the chance of an untrustworthy VPS provider so it would more than likely come down to either you used a cracked software or untrustworthy proxy provider but I am not Instagram so I have no need to investigate further into your case
Overall, That`s unfortunate that happened to you & thankfully you did not lose any accounts.
I didn’t have such experience, sorry to hear that. I just can imagine how stressful it was, but I’m glad to hear that you managed to save the accounts. What service you have canceled exactly, some VPS provider or some automation software? Is the data saved only on your laptop?
He was using Cracked software because he said: the type of a service you pay monthly, download their software. There are few websites there you pay monthly to download cracked stuff.
So it is your own fault lol so you paid them + they hacked you account
