Instagram Ads for Followers (Help)

To understand my question i will need to explain what i want to do. My english is not that good so i am sorry.

The goal of the ad is to get followers or users to go to your page to follow you
two different platforms to make the ad with IG and FB ads manager
when using IG the option is there to send users to > your profile
In FB Ads, you can only use a LINK as there is no option to send users to your IG

The targeting available on the IG app is pretty crappy.
I want to use FB Ads Manager for this advertisement and use my LLA’s etc
(cant select LLA’s on ig app)

Questions

  1. With an advertisement from FB Ads Manager, If i put my IG page URL as the destination, Would it open my IG page on the users browser or in IG app?

  2. Also what type of campaign on FBads works best for this?

  3. What type of campaign for story ads for follow?

I’m surprised no one got back to you on this.

These three questions are really important.

  1. I believe it will open the URL (which is unfortunate, but you can test this by maybe sharing the ad as a link to your email then opening it in Instagram.)

  2. I flip flop on Story Ads running on the discovery page as well. But mostly targeting as much of the “World” as possible.

  3. Usually 4 slides/video that says follow along for more.
