Did you noticed instagram blocked mobile proxies?
Absolutely not, everything fine.
Imagine they’d prohibit access for real mobile phone users… Doesn’t make sense.
They are blocking shared IPs it seems. So proxies that are shared will probably be hit. Seems like they are throttling api calls.
But how do they know if a proxy is shared - is it the amount of accounts running on it?
Yeah, also the number of api calls going through that ip at the same time. Usually shared will have lots doing similar things at the same time. I notice more on the rotating residential proxies I was testing.
Mobile doesn’t seem to be getting hit as hard and from what people have said. It’s safer. Obviously, if the proxy supplier is selling the same proxy to lots of people then it won’t be.
I used a different bot and tried logging in and the code read “IG has throttled your api calls due to excessive users”
That makes sense. One reason more to use own / dedicated proxies
