Instagram Comment Algorithm Question

I just have a quick question regarding the Instagram comment algorithm and more specifically, the Instagram TOP/FEATURED comment algorithm.

My main question is, is the account with the highest follower count always featured as a top/featured comment on Instagram posts?

For example,

If I comment on a post with an account that has 10K followers, and my account is the largest account to comment on the post, will my account’s comment be featured as the top/featured comment on the post until larger accounts comment on the post?

OR, is it more tailored/algorithmic depending on the user?

For example,

If I comment on a post that a targeted/source account posted, with an account that has 10K followers, and my account is the largest account to have commented, will my comment only appear as a top comment to MY followers (shared followers between the source account and my account), which are gained from the source account whos post I am commenting on?

Any insight into this would be much appreciated!

Without wanting to judge … spending 10 seconds on Instagram would have solved that question (more time spent on typing then actually testing it yourself  ) .

Afaik No to your initial question .

(If no one else will be able to answer that with 100% confidence , mention me in a couple of days and I will get you the results)

Since when are IG comments sorted?

They are but they aren’t like if you go to a post with a lot of comments maybe 2 of the comments are shown and the rest are not usually those accounts have high followings or verified accounts

Yeah, I definitely know what you mean haha- the main question I guess is if there’s an algorithm involved and comments are tailored to specific users (like the explore page, for example) or if it’s just the 2 biggest accounts get their comments featured.

Oh I get it now, you mean the comments you see when you scroll through the feed!

I think they’re sorted by relevance (likes+value of the account).
