Instagram disabled my account, baby photos gonešŸ˜„

Hello, last Monday I tried logging in to my account only to find they had disabled it. I had around 4k followers but thatā€™s not important. I have so many videos and photos of my little girl on that account, in archives, Iā€™m completely heartbroken. My Facebook and Instagram are linked so that too is disabled. Unable to submit a form due to staff shortages because of covid. My instagram is stuck on ā€œif we can confirm your details, 24 hoursā€ blah blah blahā€¦i have tried messaging business support on Facebook, no luck, Iā€™ve tried submitting every form I can find but get a message saying ā€œlog in to your account to find out how to submit a reviewā€ I give up. Can anyone help me please? This hasnā€™t helped my depression at all, sorry for the long ramblings :disappointed_relieved:

What could you have done that would have resulted in a personal account with baby photos to be disabled? Something is missing in this storyā€¦ but anyhow, you have to keep trying to contact them via that form until they reply. If youā€™ve truly ā€œdone nothing wrongā€ then they will eventually undo it.

Howeverā€¦ this is an important point, never a social media site/app to be the only source of storage for a life of personal memories. Back those things up somewhere else.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I definitely havenā€™t done anything wrong. All I share is baby clothes from Zara and decor, absolutely nothing that warrants them to disable my account. Iā€™m just annoyed I cannot submit any form because they are still reviewing my account, this could obviously take months.

I do back up my photos and videos onto my computer of course, there are just some story memories and stuff in my archives which Iā€™m gutted to lose.

It may be slower than usual, but they should give it back to you based on what youā€™re saying. And when you do get it back, make sure to save all that stuff.

Speaking from experience of having lost some photos, itā€™s really frustrating!
