It will give you exposure and depending on how others like your post that will give or not give engagement

If you post the right hash tags with good content yes it will give you some engagement.
My take: If you get enough engagement from your followers on the right content with the right hashtags you will edit: can also get engagement from people scrolling trough these hashtags.
Well i use the same hashtags always and they never give engagement till i pass 500 followers but when i pass 500 followers they give a lot engagement
That depends on many things. If you get a lot of engagement you will get more reach on hashtags. If you have low engagement you will get low reach. You must also use hashtags relative to the amount of engagement you get - if you have a small account you must also use smaller hashtags. You should also rotate your hashtags, using the same ones hurts your reach.

Like most people say: I you want to go viral on explore/hashtags, it comes down to your content, and only your content, even if you get powerlikes the post won’t stay in top posts if people don’t keep liking it…
