Instagram Image Recognition

Hello,
So i was doing some testing,
I created 5 accounts, and i instantly started doing same publishing.
I posted the same 8 pictures over and over again in 3 Accounts and other pictures in 2 Accounts.
But between each account i changed the photos names, hash and cleared all the metadata.
While publishing in the 3rd account it received a phone verification and so was the case for all the other accounts that had the same pictures. The 2 in wich i posted different pictures didn’t receive any PV.
My conclusion is that instagram is not looking only at metadata, hash, pictures name but mainly the content of the pictures.

Wow. I’ve seen so many rumours and theories about what you need to do with images but interesting to see a real test.
I assume the accounts were all isolated from each other in the same way?

Wonder how this effects things like reposting, even if you have permission too?

Weird, I always go through the same process, clearing metadata, randomizing file name, changing hash but I also don’t post the same exact picture within a short amount on different accounts. Usually more like “picture x” on day 1 on account 1 and on day 3 on account 3 so as not to avoid detection.

I also try to keep all the pictures to 1080x1080 or 1350x1080 which is IGs max they allow. This will be much more common and not as easy to analyze as very specific file sizes like 644x644 for example.

Also, I’ve seen people post about applications that will create fake metadata too even further mask similarities and even go as far as creating location targeted meta data.

This would be my next step which I haven’t dived into yet though but could be a game changer, too.

Yeah you can see they tag meta data with the content from the picture. Its a super basic tagging system though. It generalizes the photo it doesnt bring specifics. Im curious if there is any use cases with this data.
