If anyone knows the reasoning behind this, I’d love to know. When I open my account, it’s logged in and everything and it isn’t asking for any passwords or verification. But today alone I’ve gotten at least 10 texts.
Appreciate you!

Is it all XXXX’s or it numbered? I know thats a dumb question, but my code is normally 6 digits if I remember correctly.
Its okay. Yes it is numbered, 6 digits, the X’s were just place fillers.
Thought so. Sounds like someone is trying to hack your account mate.
What were you doing when this happened? https://www.toxigon.com/deleted-email-on-instagram-by-mistake/
Yeah that was a thought I had too, hopefully not true. But I checked my email, facebook and number, its all still connected.
So what were you doing? It just started sending you a ton of messages? Do you have it on any kind of a bot?
Yes I have it running automation, but nothing too drastic settings wise. This only started occurring 2-3 days ago.
Did you fix this it’s happening to me I get about three a day, I even tried changing my Instagram email.
Yup definitely someone trying to hack into your account. Good on you for enabling 2FA!
Someone tried the same with my personal account last week (and I didn’t have 2FA). My email ID and phone number were changed in a matter of seconds. The only lucky bit was that I was online and I immediately changed them back using the link on the email Insta sent me, changed my password and enabled 2FA immediately.
Very embarrassing, because
a) I routinely make fun of people who get phished, and
b) I suspected the warning email that Insta sent me to be a phishing email, but seem to have not checked the actual phishing email
The only thing you need to do is change your password (mobile verification is sent only if password entered is correct). If you’re using the same password in other places, change those ASAP too.
If it continues to happen, then some system of yours has been seriously compromised. Keylogger on your mail system, malware, could be anything.
EDIT: If you’re running automation on your account, then it’s a whole different deal. You’ll have to look into how your software is running the automation, how many times it logs in, etc and see if the 2FA message is being triggered from that.
EDIT: Holy necropost, batman!
thanks sir
