An Instagram profile I was using was suspended back in May 2022. I think it was because I was using a Chrome Extension for some automation.
That profile had a certain URL in it that I like.
Can that URL be used again or would it trigger some issues or ban from Instagram?

Yes, you can reuse that Instagram profile URL if Instagram lets you claim the username on another account. The practical check is whether the username is available when you try to set it; suspension may leave it unavailable. A profile page no longer loading does not, by itself, mean the username has been released.
Reusing the URL alone is not established as a ban trigger. That is separate from repeating the automation behavior you suspect contributed to the suspension. Claiming the username would not guarantee that the new account avoids other issues.
