I have just recently found this forum, and must say it’s a great community,
lots of great stuff to read here and learn. Can’t wait to get to level 2
Until that happens, I cry for help with an issue I got on instagram, and hope that some of you wizard’s could help me?
Here it goes:
Simply said, since april (the moment Instagram killed instagress and other similar services) my account had started to lose and gain 10-20 followers a day. And got stuck around the same number of followers since then. Not gaining any actually. When you see it on socialblade, there is that wavy line of “stuckness” for 5-6 months.
For example, I have 6268 followers, tomorrow I will have 6282 and in two days, It goes back to 6265 again.
And it goes like that since April. Really don’t know what is going on.
I have stopped using all bot programs, don’t buy followers ( did it just once), post daily. Good content. Have some ok engagement on pictures, but all in all, something is wrong and not functioning properly.
I think this is also happening on other profiles I have, not just this one.
So, I started tripping it could be about the ip address ban or something…
I’m just getting crazy without solution lately…
Does anyone know what is going on? Shadowban? Or some other sneaky instagram thing?

You losing followers has most likely nothing to with a shadow ban or an IP ban . You not gaining new followers and actually seeing the followers that unfollow you - by numbers - might be one of the reasons .
That you see an increase of followers and a few days later a decrease might be because other IMers and Bots do the “follow/unfollow” game to you .

Is there a reason you do not want to use automation tools ?
Please PM @Adnan about this . He has a great list of automation tools which are paid services . I am using one of his recommendations after MP went down and it is working really great for me !
I had this exact same issue with my account a few months back as well. Like I couldn’t push through to the next milestone. I agree with @HenryCooper, there’s always a few F/UF accounts targeting you as well.
Depending on your account, you may have to try a few things to see what works. I personally stopped using the 60 hashtag trick, and also switched up my hashtags. Things like that, in conjunction with seeing how your account reacts, will yield you the best results imo.
I use all my quota or something.
