This has happened to me recently, noticed in 2 or 3 accounts that DM’s from 11 months ago suddenly showed up new and unread, have never seen them, they weren’t pending either.
I could totally understand DM’s being ghosted from non-followers, which is something that makes more sense for them to do vs not allowing non-followers to send a message at all, it’s totally counter-intuitive to social networking as a whole. Pending and ignored is fine, but a complete block is just outright stupid.
How would potential customers DM a business account who doesn’t follow all of their customers? Sure you can add a “Contact button” but that’s limited to email or phone (unless they change it) but even then, they’re killing their own platform one day at a time these days. Just dumb all around for anything but spam prevention.
Probably because you are used to operating large accounts receiving many DMs a day. Most users are small enough to notice and read almost every DM they receive. Honestly, even with a creator profile, Instagram’s messaging system is terrible and needs tons of work.
Depending on how they implement it, that might actually be an opportunity for us as Messages will have better chances to get noticed.

Wait what facebook are gonna implement messenger on wp and dm Instagram ?? That’s a great news as maybe people will restart using Facebook but they do everything they just forget one thing… Their own platform that turned now into a place where if you want to make money you have to pay ads as they totally ended growth on it
i think it’s not the real purpose and I am betting the farm on this single vision I have.
within a few years all of facebook and everything else it owns will be one unit – yea they each will have their own app but will be tightly meshed together.
that means a shoutout on facebook will effect the insta page linked to it and vice versa.
Messaging is the glue that holds all together. Now, if this is going to happen – say I send a message from my personal facebook page to follower on insta… many doors open
So you still think about facebook pages ? Don’t you think the only thing they represent now is something that make you do ads or social proof ? Because for growth i don’t think it can be worse than what it is now if you said link Facebook page to Instagram account does that mean you potentially believe that Facebook will start helping brands marketers and creators by for example : Reviving the organic reach so it become a real social media , Make sign up more easy (like if you want to create a simple account just for business purposes and not be forced to do it with a personal account because they are the only sm who still do that in 2019 ) ,
Don’t force us to have just 1 account if we want to signup just for a page growth (btw why they don’t implement this ? Facebook will start rising again if they make things strict but less difficult to do why do we have to get an account and add on it friends then create a page blablabla …
Why not just simply do like (snap,twitter,instagram,tiktok…) just signup and after it start working with a page with no personnal account…
i have to. everything links back to them. What they do, why they do.insta get effected.
Insta is 25 percent of facebooks revenue – what better way to increase profit margins than by making things more streamlined.
those do not effect me one way or another so it frankly is no concern if they should or should not. I need to concentrate my followers on both insta and facebook for some future businesses I will start.
with that mindset – while open to other aves… snap or tik, I need to focus on What is and what can be as if happens – not wishing on this or that or thinking of other areas.
4 years ago i was called a idiot for starting all these pages to promote one account when growing was so easy. Today, the roles are reversed.
First if signup is not a problem for you then how you do it because appart multilogin there is not other real long lasting solid method for an account even if you buy high quality ages how you use them you warmup them with wht embed browser of jarvee ?
Also i talked about growth in Facebook as for me now it seems to ve only a platform to make cash not to grow accounts like in other sm where it is still possible like i said pages and groups are just for spamming (i you are a pro) or for ads nothing less nothing more growth is inexistent as Facebook is no where near in growth in comparison to other sm

we must be talking about different things. btw, you asked me how I log in, that is how with all those insta banks. Each insta has 5 pages – each of those insta pages has a facebook page.

What makes me think it seriously you see huge pages that have worked so hard to get where they are and not even get 4k likes abd you tell me that it’s still worth to grow a page there give me a valuable argument i didn’t say growth of page likes but growth for one goal : the engagement yes people make money on it with ads,messenger,many accounts spam group… But don’t tell me people who know how to grow still go there to get organic engagement as there isn’t that’s facts not just my own experience
