The problem with âboostingâ posts via the promote button is that you are usually pushing your feed content in front of users and the truth is that most feed post content isnât ideal for driving follower conversions.
People post content in the feed and often times optimize it for more engagement, not followersâŚ
Of course the goal is for the engagement to turn it into follows but that still isnât idealâŚ
Itâs better to focus on making a custom ad with the a strong CTA in the first 3-10 seconds and running that in the ads manager as a traffic campaign and make sure the content in the ad is congruent with the feed content. Use a deeplink.
When it comes to shoutouts I donât think itâs luck like the above user said. Itâs rarely the pages fault if it has good engagement and you did your homework to make sure itâs authentic. Often times, itâs the content that sucks and doesnât get results not the page.
If itâs a smaller page you want to target getting the post on explore (videos work best for this), while with larger pages you want to target the home feed which is why you see all s4s ads with the puzzle/comment " ⌠" meme swipes because comments drive the post up the home feed.
At the end of the day, you can get lucky but having a tested strategy beats a hail mary or testing a bunch of M/S providers when most canât actually provide (just my opinion)

The automation I do is strickly private and all the tests I do on a daily basis is for myself.
BUT!
Comparing the prices now and the prices before june 2019, they have definately changed. Those who offer M/S on a solid ground have a way higher rate than before all these changes. But you canât blame them. Things have become more time consuming and also everything a side just automation has become more expensive. Pricey proxies, creation of more slave accounts etc. So everything comes hand in hand. And I donât offer any services. Eventhough I weekly have a bunch of people in my inbox asking me if I offer manual or automation services, I have honestly told them, that I donât sell anything and I just forward them to other members in here. People who are in my eyes skilled. I think they know who they are by now. And to clearify once again, I get nothing for my references. I only try helping people. Thatâs all.

But please letâs stick to the subject of this thread, as I too am interested to learn new things in this field. @Paradox gave some nice tips worth considering.
I created my page it in jun/19 but never work hard to grow it, i had another account that was banned because insta is crybaby, so i was more slow and fearfull on this account.
In mid January i reached 10k, and since the 10k date my growing started to get better, 200/day (shouts only) and then on February 4 Instagram notice me and deleted 2 posts (that i did with the autorization of the owner) Insta claimed that the both posts was âpornâ and deleted it (deleted it from the page of the models too), it was not porn, but what I could do? my growth stopped, my reach decayed, and I started to think in sell it (even opened a topic here about it and people helped me to realize that was new ways to grow).
Since my page got demonized by insta I started a partneship with a big page (managed to sell a account for him in exchange of shouts) and by now im starting to find new people with bigger accounts that have other account or services to sell, in exchange they promo my page, besides that i do some shouts with some models that are real nice people and shout back (some with more than 2mi followers). So basically what i do to growth now is:
*Shouts with some models
*Promo in exchange of me selling their services (believe me, in my country (Brazil) people doenst know how to sell anything, they ignore you, rise prices in the middle of conversation, dont give details and other bad treatmens, im not saying that im a good saller, but I do the basics and I donât ignore my clients)
*Ive changed my target audience, my page had a english name, doing english posts and almost all english, but since jun/19 people of my country started to follow and comment etc, (37% by now 15%USA), and because of it I was forced to change the target (slowly).
There is another things that i will test like prize promos and the subject of this topic, IG advertizing.
Is instazood working again ??! I am surprised!!
