I would like to use Jarvee for message automation , not for following/unfollowing/commenting etc, just for auto responding to messages
Is it still working good for that, and would i need proxies if i would use 3-4 profiles only?

Working perfectly fine.
You should need proxies at least for your scrapers. You can run up to 5 accounts on your residential ip without problems. But since you need scrapers for every kind of profile you should let them run on some dc / 4g proxy.
Yes, Jarvee still working well and you can reply to messages using the Contact tool.
You may don’t need proxies if you are going to use your home IP, but if you are going to install Jarvee in a VPS, in this case, you need proxies for the scrapers and main accounts as well.

What are scrappers? I dont need to get list of accounts for sending emssages, i need just to auto reply when someone messages me?
Thats true, for reply only you dont need scrapers. So yes, as @AbdelGueraa said, you can use contact tool for that and define a text and even spin it with spintax.
So there is a chance to set this up withiut proxies?
What if i want to add auto posting?
If you do not use more than 5 IG accounts you do not need proxies. You can also setup up auto posting.

Did you run some tests? or do you just think? new accounts may get banned quickly, better to use aged accounts if you want to promote links in BIO.
You can send the link only to new followers, it’s better than adding links in your BIO.
