I know this isn’t the right place to ask for help, but it’s the only social media forum I ever visit, so I’ll give it a shot.
I was updating my iPhone to the latest version using iTunes, and it somehow decided to fully reset my device, without having a backup. Obviously, lost all my data, but that’s not the problem here. My only concern is the authentication app, which I used for services like Google, Instagram, and Snapchat. I had backup codes for all of the above, and managed to login back.
Unfortunately, my Twitter backup code has already been used, and I only had one. I never had my phone added to the account, so I’m fully locked out now. Is there something I can do to login again? I know this is an extra layer of security, and their support center wouldn’t help much, but shall I give it a try?
Thank you! I only used Twitter on my iPhone. I already contacted them multiple times, as well as replied to their automated emails. All I keep getting is Thanks for your report. It looks like this is connected with your original case #xxxx, so we’ve added it to that first report. We’ll continue our review with this information.
I have all the patience needed to wait, even if it requires a month, but I read somewhere that they don’t reply to these appeals, unless you’re a business or a public figure, is that true? Also, even if they reply, what are the chances of getting my account back? Do you think information about recent DMs, previous passwords, or backup code would work?
