Broken workflow I guess… it’s impossible to send this form. I was able to speak to some Instagram employees which are working in the Privacy / Data Request team.
The straight ignored me when I showed this link and asked for help. They just kept referring that they can’t help since it’s the wrong department.
May I ask if you used for the appeal forms always the same name, email and phone number?
I got exactly once the email reply which asked for the hand written code + picture. Since than I got no reply and send the appeal forms at least 2-3 times more but didn’t get a reply anymore.
I think @schoko (sorry for tagging if it wasn’t you) mentioned earlier you can use fake data but I’m kinda still scared that this would kill the account for good.
I got the same popup message when I was trying to appeal on one of my accounts. I wonder if it means I can never submit an appeal for this account of if it will work if someone else tries to appeal from another location/country.

Yes I used the same name, email address and everything each time.
When I sent the photo I also wrote that it must be a mistake and I had not violated the rules in any way. I told them I think it’s because of the third party app which I used to check who had unfollowed me, but that I had not known it was prohibited and wouldn’t have used it if I had known. And also told them I really hope to get my account back.
and after how many days you take it back?
I have written all the details here already… it took me 2 weeks to get it back
I filled in my info for the captcha on Monday, now to days, 48h later, I’m still having the same “thanks for providing your info…”

Alright… in my case Instagram asks for the hand written code only once per email.
I used the appeal forms multiple times and used my main email address I used to register the account back in 2014 or so. But I only received a reply once back on 21th September when the account was disabled.
Today I tried for the first time using the forms and another email and they actually replied again and asked for the handwritten code.
Is this usual that you can only send an appeal once per mail? Has anyone some experiences regarding this?
Just curious because apparently some users only appealed with the same mail address over and over again and had success.

Not usual and not normal. If you don’t receive an automated code email that usually means one of two things:
- IG’s appeal system broke
- Your request has been deemed illegitimate/spammy and will not be responded to
2nd option happens after too many requests via an IP address, email, or per account.
If you change your IP (use your phone, cycle the airplane mode for a new IP) and a new email and still can’t get more than 1 email for that account, I would cease appealing for a while and come back to it later.
So my account is still on the 24hr review and it’s been a month and a half already. I just hope this pandemic ends so they could at least send people to review accounts and let people send appeals.
I’m from Southeast Asia tho. From what I know reviews are done in the corresponding countries where you’re currently at, right? Or do they all just go to Facebook headquarters in California?

Reviews are done either at the nearest local center (India for example has one, pretty sure the Philippines, too) or could be even routed to somewhere globally.
Accounts currently get reactivated no matter the location, including SEA. It’s just slow and tedious
