Anyone see this Instagram going hard.
That’s horrible. I wonder if some of their content was on the racist/vulgar side and IG is trying to clean up. And I don’t get the part where the news article mentioned a tool “only available to members of the media” has anything to do with these meme pages getting shutdown.
Either way super sad to see someone’s $200K/yr income “poof” disappear overnight.
And i thought it only happens with adult accounts
Its worse than being in North Korea, at least in North Korea you know your f*****!
The Great Meme PURGE Is Upon Us, Instagram BANNED 30+ Accounts
Sae this, it wasn’t my page but am pissed for them
Whats not said is that these owners are probably a few. Often these type of pages are owned by just a couple of people – while one is at 11 million – bet ya few of the others deleted are theirs also. In other words, a internal investigation all lead to different page sizes. Notice a few just over 100k, compared to the others small – most likely other accounts owned by the bigger pages. two groups I know of, small group of 4 and 7 people combined have 25 million plus and another at a little over 13 million.
just use a vpn with a US IP
I did and read it. Just renewed my vpn subs. But it’s funny tbh. This is the first time ever I experience an online newsletter being geo restricted!
Purges happens 1-2 times a year
if you are in EU makes sense, if you are in US nope XD
I am in europe brother
But even here it is the first time I experience this.
because all websites you visited were comply the GDPR or they didn’t care of sanctions.
Several news websites in US instead of decide to follow the EU privacy policy law, have simply decided to restrict the access to EU users.
Ohhh nice golden nuggets you gave me bro. I was totally not aware of this.
But it does make sense. In EU they do have strict policies about what you as a service provider may store of information, when people visit your website.
Instagram is killing its own platform…
Now I know some will claim for the lazy ones yes. Now in my oppionion instagram will definately not be dead and automation will never die as long as IG lives. But looking at the overall picture, as things has become more strict on IG platform and the costs of doing client management has increased parallel to this matter, many so called average bugdet clients will find it to expensive and reconsider their investments.
Already reading threads in here I have realised that prices for client management is increasing for some.
Yet we also have clients who simply have a better financial background and will continue as is. Like they have done on FB. As @Alexnvo has proved one does not need to do f/uf to develop FB ratio and ER. But this indeed needs a solid background as he has. But alternatively you can cooperate with other bigger profiles and exchange shoutouts etc.
But as far as facebook is concerned, I doubt they care. They didn’t care when they did similar to Facebook, and they won’t care here either.
A simple rule I have learnt on this forum is learn, adapt and move on. Otherwise stop and find other solutions.
If one still believes only doing f/uf still will have same growth as before this shit storm, they will be surprized on the long run.
As I did read @Arthuditu stating in his latest threads, he has stopped doing f/uf and is doing all the other possible options and he is good. Hope he still is as I am writing this
I myself have burned 20 accounts lately on testing. But I don’t care. One dies I do 10 more.
My costs are low cause my proxies are given to me for free as I know the person who has them, and he does something else than IG, and he refuses to sell any of his proxies to others as I have asked them multiple times.
Now no one in hell is gonna give you a solution here or hand you their settings if they have a working one. They might sketch it up for you, but never serve it to you. And still… If something works for me doesn’t mean it will work for you. The only way is to test… Test… Test.
I know alot of very skilled people in the business who simple gave up on IG years ago. They do platforms like pinterest and linkedin today. Even though they are skilled, they simply don’t like the headache. Today they are making loads of $$$ elsewhere.
Now all this is my personal perspective
Knew these people. Unfortunately they abused the internal tools.
It’s honestly insane at this point.
A very interesting thought someone had on Twitter about the massive Instagram Meme purge.
A lot of meme accounts advertise shoutouts for $$$.
Money that Instagram then doesn’t receive.
See, I think this whole thing in the last months and this has to do with investors getting proper serious about how little Instagram is actually making off their platform. Ads don’t work.
The ROI isn’t worth it.
So investors aren’t making money back and they’re pissed.
So Instagram is trying to get rid of everyone trying to make money off their platform via advertising, helping others grow, etc.
They only want companies to pay for shitty Instagram ads and that’s it.
