Merchant Processing - Credit Card Payments for IG Marketing

Anyone having trouble getting a merchant account for your Instagram marketing business? I’m finding this very difficult. Any thoughts? Seems like a high risk business for all processors and even some of the high risk ones are not willing.

Market yourself as Social Media ‘Management’. Selling followers and likes = high risk.

There are High risk credit card processors, look at Payment cloud, but the problem with them is they will charge you like 6% instead of the normal 2-3% per process. I used payment cloud for a little bit, but only because i was in transition. If you do use them, definitely read the fine print of how they work, they were holding some money from us (they are returning it) but i had no clue they were holding it until I had cancelled their service.

I just met the guy who runs www.thinkauric.coom, you should check them out since they actually have a cool business model that i’m thinking about switching to. They make it so customers pay for the processing fee and you just pay auric a flat rate of like 100$ a month with as many transactions.

Thank you - are they ok with Social Media management and Instagram likes you think?

I understand but I actually have an Internet consulting firm. Why the hard time getting a merchant account? Also what are all these other companies using you think?

I own a Merchant Services company, if you are located in the states I can probably get you approved. Let me know

please send me your email and I’ll reach out. Thanks

Yes, there are merchants that specialize in “high risk” companies…Unfortunately anything that has to do with social media followers, falls in this category as of recently because people do charge backs a lot. Its pretty ridiculous.

Well there are a lot of ways to protect your self from chargebacks. One thing you can do is get some verification when charging, address name CVv, exp and etc, another would be to get them to buy the service “as is” and get them to sign something stating they know what they’re buying.

Also making your company a consulting company helps

This is true, payment processors do have a special verification features to help you prevent charge backs. I still get charge backs calling my service fraudulent but really they are just salty with the results. After providing all the necessary info, Invoice, communication from emails, and also results from our service, I win usually 80% of the time.
