Needed: dedicated UK phone number to receive SMS for social networks

I am in the USA and I need a UK number to receive social network texts. I do not have a UK sim card , nor a UK phone - I have looked for Android APPS and websites , but they all tell me that they do not receive incoming SMS from social networks to uk dedicated phone numbers.

what solutions have you seen? appreciated.

Why do you need UK phone number? What social networks are you planning to use them on?
