Have you heard of a tool called massplanner? I heard it’s an ok tool 
All you need is to unfollow them after x days as specified by what you think is right (personally I think giving them 2-3 is long enough)

really? it was working fine for me last time I checked but currently using automatic follow/unfollow… what’s not working?
i use both and i`m not happy.
With Statusbrew i can sort the user and unfollow the 300 accounts which i follow very long
