is anyone tried going private while he get ranked in few hashtags and after a while (like a hour)
going back to public, are you still ranking those hashtags?
EDIT after testing on 1 post, yes i still ranking at the hashtags top 9 after uploading as a public, going private for an hour and half, going back to public again

What is the point of setting your account to private while ranking?
yea i know this, i did some engagement rounds but they are massive going over 500 likes, and i do reach those like organic but it takin time so i give it a push so ill rank some, and go private in the middle of the round so i wont get to much likes, the question is if ill be still rankin after i go public again, lol :), i also notice many of my followers started to like as well, if a post getting lota likes, is it ranking in my followers feed aswell?
It will rank in their feed until you set it to private according to everything. Why not just leave it public?
becuase ill finished up with 800-1000 likes which looks not good for my page, im standing on 300-500 almost organic, boostin my posts usually with 70-100 likes with small rounds
this time i tried big round so ill rank some, it will be bumer if ill go back to public and i wont rank lol
tho im checking my ig and my followers still engaging way faster after the round (im on private now) the round not finished yet

I understand your point why you are doing this. Maybe you can consider to find an engagement group with less members? There are also engagement groups where you should like the last 10 posts (and you can do that several times per day). That way you have a better control of the no. of receiving likes…
Would be an awesome trick, if setting to private (and back) would lead to a higher exposure… But I guess you respectively would need for that theory more testing.
Some people have stated that IG is “testing” the quality of your posts --> right after the posts, it shows it some users. If they like it, the algorithm will show it more users.
So maybe you are getting more likes because of this. But of course, I would prefer the “set-to-private-to-boost-your-reach” 
after i went back to public my post was still ranked in hashtags top 9, i dont think i will test it further
just did it once at the round, about other small rounds/ dx10/ dx5 im using those for give a lil boost at the begging 70-100 likes in the first hour seems doing great job, after this im getting to 300-500 organic in 1-3 days
the answer for my question, yes if you got ranked in hashtags, and u going private and coming back as public, its still ranking
