It doesn´t work that well with musicians to be honest. People don´t listen to music on Instagram. Youtube is the better option for musicians in my opinion.

yes and no you have to drive traffic to youtube and instagram, reddit, facebook, and twitter are your best sources so usually some rappers grow their instagram and push traffic to youtube/soundcloud or spotify over time it helps some but not a lot the best way is to run ads unless you follow the record label method
